The Tortuga's Coffee Co. Story
Tortuga's Coffee Co. carefully selects beans from the beautiful country of Costa Rica and only work with farmers who grow certified organic and rainforest initiative beans.
The inspiration for our name comes from our 2000 Ford Ranger, his name is Tortuga. He was our late grandfather's truck and our daughters named him Tortuga because he is old and green. Our grandfather's name was Manuel, but we called him Pop. Pop was born and raised in Costa Rica and of course spoke Spanish. So that was why our daughters chose to name the truck Tortuga instead of Turtle. He, of course, loved every minute of that. We get our beans from Costa Rica in honor of Pop, who loved his coffee nice and strong.
We are Veteran owned and we donate a lot of our profits to various charities, as well as Sea Turtle Conservation groups nationwide.
